Step 1. Conceal And Primer
Start off by applying a light concealer to cover any under eye darkness. Then dust off some loose powder underneath the eye area to catch any shadow that still there. Next apply an eye shadow primer all over your eyelids.
Step 2. Line Up The Upper And Lower Lashes
This step requires a good waterproof black eyeliner pencil. Slowly and gently lift up your lid to reveal your upper lash line. Smudge your black eyeliner pencil into the inner lash area, then repeat it for the lower lash.
Remember, keep your eyeliner pencil near because you’ll need it again in the next step.
Step 3. Shadowing
In this step, use an eye shadow brush to apply brown powder shadow across your eyelid and into the crease of the lid. Now concentrate the color towards outer corners of the eyes.
Now pick up the eyeliner pencil again, and thinly line the top of your lash line. Doing this will enhance their line from step two.
Next, dip a smudger brush or a Q-tip, whichever you prefer, into the dark gray powder eye shadow. Blow off any excess powder from the applicator and softly retrace the line area. During this you are smoking out your liner by blending the pencil into the shadow.
Once you’re done with that, start off with a light layer of shadow first and gradually build up the color.
Now for dramatic effect, apply a small amount of gray eye shadow directly under the lower lash of each of your eyes.
Step 4. Highlighting
Take an eye shadow brush and wash the champagne pearlescent shadow from the brow bone to your lashes. Don’t forget to dab a bit into the corner of your eyes as well.
Once you’re done with that, step back and look in the mirror. Ask yourself this, does this eye shadow look too dark? If it does, sweep more of that shadow across the lid to tone down the darkness.
Step 5. Eye Lashes
You don’t have to apply fake eyelashes at all. But if you’re up for it, then go for it! Start off by curling your lashes and applying two coats of black mascara on both the upper and lower lashes.
Now if you’re feeling a bit of adventurous for false eyelashes, you can either apply a full strip or half a strip to each of the eye. Applying false eyelashes does take a some practice but you can use tweezers to help you out.
When you’re holding the lash of tweezers, apply the adhesive to the lash band. Allow the adhesive set for about five seconds. Once done, gently apply lashes has close to lash line as possible. After that, work from the outside of the eye in word until though fake eyelash is secure.
Be careful to not close your eyes completely until the adhesive is dry, you don’t want your eyes to be glued shut.
Once the eyelashes are set, you can apply two coats of black mascara.
And that’s that! You have finally applied dramatic eye makeup on yourself. Don’t forget to clean any smudges or eyeshadow from the eye area.
