Natural Eye Makeup: Some Simple Yet Useful Tips

Women generally have beautiful eyes and they are naturally that wondrous and pretty. Yet, parties and social gatherings often compel us to apply makeup so as to look even pretties in terms of our face as well as our eyes. There are different ways in which you can ‘paint’ yourself. There are ways that would look simply stunning and careless and there are ways that could look a little overdone. Here are some of the tips that would make your natural eye makeup look great.

Natural Eye Makeup Tips:

  • To start with, the first tip is always to see that you don’t overdo it; whatever you apply, see that it goes with your attire and occasion.
  • The first thing is to clean your face before starting with the foundation base. Before lining your eyes, clean your face off any kind of prior makeup. Apply foundation so as to cover all patches and marks.
  • The second step usually involves a primer on your lids. You can apply concealer instead of that as well. The primer is applied up to brow bone and what it does is it actually makes the skin smoother and thereby allows the makeup to stay when you put it on.
  • The concealer should be applied under till it meets the nose. Blend it slowly so that it does not stand out and look weird. Blending all of it is crucial as this would make it look all natural.
  • The next step that follows is applying the shadow. One can use any color in this context. However, an important tip in this context is that a contrast color to that of your iris would be perfect. You can also use more than one color.
  • Now, in case you plan to use more than one color, there are a few tips. You need to use proper contrasts. You can start with the light color that you would apply on the brow bone; the medium color would look perfect on the lid and finally the dark color needs to be on the crease. However, see to it that the three colors are not poles apart. They should not be all different shades all together. If that is the case, you could end up looking like a clown. Blend them.
  • Apply the liner after it; you can use a liquid liner or even a pencil one. You can apply them deep or light, depending upon your eyes. In case of small ones, you can make them look bigger by avoiding liner on the lower part. The color will depend on the color of the iris. A contrast is the best option.
  • You can darken the shade so that they look not only bold but there is a ‘popping out’ effect.
  • Curl your lashes to make them look dark and feminine. In case you don’t have a curler, you can always use a spoon to do so. Remember to curl the lashes before applying the mascara.
  • Then apply the mascara according to your choice and preference. Find a proper product and brand that you are comfortable with. To make it work, apply it on the base of the upper lashes and gradually move upwards. You can also apply it on the lower lashes. Light or deep; that is your choice but see to it that it is dry.

Some other tips for an overall taking care process: Clean the whole face before going to sleep; the mascara and liner can be easily removed with cotton and moisturizer; you can make your lasher look fuller by lining them with a black pencil liner; white liner on the inside of the eye makes them look bigger; mascara and liners enhance the look of the eyes, hence choose the right product; in case of no curler, the back of the spoon works; bold eyes and light lipstick goes well and vice versa.
